Robert Wooden has enjoyed 35 successful years in the automotive dealership world and has gained a wealth of skills and experiences having started out as a technician and working his way through nearly every job role within a dealership. Service Manager, Parts Manager, Fixed Ops Director, IT Director, DMS Administrator, Salesperson, Sales Manager and General Manager.
Robert is a graduate of the State University of New York with a degree in Automotive Technology.
Following his passion for technology led Robert to work with several emerging software companies developing solutions that addressed the unique needs of auto dealers. In 2011 he joined SmartVMA, a startup software division of BG Products. Robert worked with both independent stores and large dealer groups like AutoNation, Penske & Lithia to improve profitability and performance. Eventually promoted to General Manager, he was responsible for software development, sales, support, installation and training.
Today Robert continues working with dealerships of all sizes as an independent consultant.
